Martin Mayorga's Mayorga Torpedo cigars have been a reliable Nicaraguan brand since 1997. They are created by the Plascencia family, one of Nicaragua's largest and most esteemed tobacco growing families. The cigars are square pressed and have a very dark, oily oscuro wrapper grown in Costa Rica. Inside, the cigar contains a Nicaraguan binder and long fillers, all grown on the Plasencia farm in Estel, Nicaragua. These cigars are full-bodied, complex, and packed with flavor, such as earth, licorice, black pepper, espresso, and cream. They received a 94 rating from Cigar Aficionado and the EMS-wrapped line has never scored lower than 89.
