Erik Espinosa, the Cuban cigar expert known for creating popular brands such as 601 Murcielago and Cubao, has joined forces with celebrity chef and renowned restaurateur Guy Fieri to introduce a new line of high-quality cigars. Named Knuckle Sandwich, this collection consists of four different cigar sizes and is being produced at the prestigious San Lotano factory in Ocatal, Nicaragua, under the supervision of AJ Fernandez. The cigars come in two variations, both with top-grade wrappers to choose from. The natural version boasts an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper, paired with a Nicaraguan binder and filler, resulting in a medium-bodied smoke with notes of earth, cedar, roasted nuts, and pepper, finishing with a pleasant touch of sweetness. The maduro release, also medium-bodied, features an Ecuadorian Sumatra maduro wrapper, along with all Nicaraguan fillers, delivering flavors of dark chocolate, leather, black cherry, and spice. Espinosa and Fieri have been working on the Knuckle Sandwich project for over 18 months, aiming to create a premium cigar that pairs perfectly with a luxurious gourmet meal.
