Product Description
According to Michael Herklots, one of the cofounders of Ferio Tego, the Timeless Sterling line is described as both dense and intense. After the cigar was discontinued, Ferio Tego brought it back to life, making it a sort of resurrection. In 2011, the new Ferio Tego company, made up of former Nat Sherman employees, released the Sterling line as a statement. This beautiful cigar has a platinum silver band and comes in a box containing 10 handrolled cigars. The innerlid artwork is bold and reminiscent of a Salvador Dali painting. Upon further inspection, one will find a remarkable blend of aged tobacco that produces a refined and mature flavor. The Sterling features an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper, a Dominican binder, and fillers from the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua. Some of the filler tobacco has been aged for over 10 years, enhancing the sweetness of the wrapper. This medium-bodied cigar can be enjoyed all day, but its complexity is more similar to fuller-bodied after-dinner smokes. The flavor profile consists of roasted peanuts and zesty white pepper, with a lasting buttery and creamy taste. It pairs well with fuller-bodied white wines like Riesling or rum, which bring out the sweet notes of the cigar. The Quesada family in the Dominican Republic produces these cigars, available in various sizes that slightly alter the delivery of the premium high-end flavors. These 10-count boxes are available at JR, but they tend to sell quickly, so don't hesitate to grab one. The Timeless collection truly lives up to its name, as it has stood the test of time and will continue to age beautifully in your humidor. However, be aware that it sells quickly, so don't wait too long!
