Back in 2001, the Villazon sector of General Cigar ran a consumer test promotion just before creating the Excalibur 1066 brand. They sent two cigars out to be reviewed. These cigars were labeled Selection No. 1 and Selection No. 2. Focus groups were assembled and consumers voiced their picks. The more favorable of the two went into production and was then named the Excalibur 1066 brand. The 2001 blend that was not picked were brought into our warehouse for sale. That being said, these are still certainly fine cigars, and not to mention have an extra six years of aging and seasoning. At this price, they’re one hell of a smoke.
