Rafael Nodal, the head of product capability for Tabacalera USA, is excited to present the Aging Room Rare Collection Scherzo cigars. For this special project, he enlisted the help of renowned cigarmaker AJ Fernandez, who crafted a blend that incorporates some of the rarest and most aged tobaccos. The Nicaraguan puro blend is composed of the best Cuban seed long fillers, containing a few Pelo d Oro leaves. The Pelo de Oro tobacco is grown in limited amounts due to its low yield and vulnerability to disease, but its unique flavor and strength make it an ideal addition to the blend. To add the finishing touches, each Scherzo is adorned with a rare vintage Cuban seed hybrid wrapper grown on Fernandez's La Lilia farm in Estel, Nicaragua. The result is a medium to full bodied smoke with the tastes of earth, cedar, leather, dark roast coffee, and baking spices.
