Product Description
RoMa Craft Tobac's newest core line pays tribute to the diligent employees of the Nica Sueno factory. This regular production line has garnered a lot of attention in the cigar industry, as the brand is known for its limited edition releases. However, fans need not worry, as this line still embodies the signature RoMa Craft flavor. The idea for this line was sparked by the hardworking individuals who played a crucial role in the success of RoMa Craft Tobac and the Nica Sueno factory, and was influenced by the documentary series, Chef's Table. The name "Maestranza" was chosen after Skip Martin, the humble co-founder of RoMa Craft Tobac, heard Francis Mallmann use the term to describe the people who support and assist you, during an episode of the aforementioned series. The special blend, RoMa Craft La Maestranza, is crafted with tobacco from three different regions: Honduras, Nicaragua, and the Dominican Republic. This hearty blend is held together by a flexible Brazilian leaf and topped with a Mexican San Andres wrapper, designated as Spanish Market Selection. This term was once used to describe wrapper colors, alongside American Market Selection and English Market Selection, with RoMa Craft specifically choosing the darker rosado wrapper to represent Spanish Market Selection. The result is a worthy addition to RoMa Craft's prestigious lineup, offering a medium-bodied smoke with rich notes of cedar, earth, dark chocolate, and spice. The complexity of this cigar is evident on both the palate and the retrohale. It is only available in the US in 40-count boxes and 20-count bundles, and comes in three different sizes: Ciutadella Catalonia (4x50), Castillito Murcia (5x60), and Caballera Valencia (6x52).
