The Randolph wine cabinet exudes a sumptuous flair in design while simultaneously preserving, protecting and showcasing your collection. This cabinet brings cutting-edge refrigeration & humidity control technology together in a remarkable chic design. From its dark cherry finish to its embossed side panels and crown molding detail, this work of art is easily recognized as the center piece in any room. The Randolph's refrigeration system outperforms the competition in terms of quietness, temperature and humidity performance. Each cabinet is outfitted with all-wood universal wine racking to accommodate a variety of different sized bottles. On-board user electronic climate control allows for ambient temperature and relative humidity to be adjusted and monitored through an electronic display in the front upper portion of the cabinet. All configurations are saved to memory so that optimal storage conditions are maintained for 65-85 bottles. Color coded LED lights indicate when the unit is active in heating, cooling and humidification modes. Includes a defogging feature to keep the glass door clear of condensation and a bright white LED lighting system. The Randolph cabinet has a fantastic solid weight and feel which is easily realized from the instant you open the door. This unit is equipped with 5 drawer style bottle shelves set on metal slides for smooth operation. The top 4 shelves are situated at an angle for easy viewing and the bottom is set flat. Shelves can be completely removed for maximum bottle storage. Each sliding shelf is adjustable and removable. No assembly or water lines required. Just connect the Randolph to a 110/120v outlet, choose your climate settings, load in your bottles and you are on your way! The cabinet ships fully assembled in a factory sealed box, includes a lock and key set and an easy to follow operating manual. The unit is very nice, though it is much lighter in color than the photos depict. As stated in the other review, the shelves are too close together, making them hard to open. I think the unit is pricy for what you get. It's not real wood after all. Other than those three things, the unit looks great and performs well. The cabinetry itself is very nice, and the touchscreen controls are intuitive. My main issue is with the shelving. For one the shelves are too close together so every time I pull a shelf out to access a bottle, I have to maneuver bottles around to get the shelves to roll back in place. Also, the shelves themselves are not so much shelves as individual strips of wood that move around (4 to the front of the shelf and 4 to the back half). Last, the user manual provides no information about wine storage; it discusses cigar storage only. I found this extremely frustrating. (Posted on 1/7/20)Quality Customer Service Price Value
