Product Description
Despite facing numerous difficulties, Arturo Fuente Cigars has managed to overcome them and continue producing high-quality products. One such product is the Arturo Fuente Anejo, which is a testament to the Fuente Family's unwavering passion, dedication, and perseverance. In 1998, a devastating hurricane destroyed the beloved Chateau de la Fuente in the Dominican Republic, where the famous Opus X wrapper was grown, causing a shortage of this prized ingredient. In response, Carlos Fuente Jr. ingeniously used aged Connecticut broadleaf wrappers instead, along with Dominican binder and filler, to create the Anejo. The key to its unique flavor is the five-year aging process of the maduro wrapper in cognac barrels. The Anejo is available in various shapes, including the No. 77, also known as the Shark, which is the first torpedo-shaped cigar to undergo a transformation from a rounded Parejo to a square press.
