Product Description
Throughout its time in existence, Arturo Fuente Cigars has faced numerous tragedies. However, the Arturo Fuente Anejo is a testament to the passion, dedication, and perseverance of the Fuente Family. In 1998, the devastating Hurricane George caused the destruction of the renowned Chateau de la Fuente in the Dominican Republic, which was responsible for cultivating the highly sought-after Opus X wrapper. This resulted in a shortage of the coveted wrapper. To overcome this obstacle, Carlos Fuente Jr. came up with a solution - using aged Connecticut broadleaf wrappers over a Dominican binder and filler - thus creating the Anejo. The distinct maduro wrapper used in this cigar is aged for five years in cognac barrels, giving it an extraordinary flavor. One of the available shapes for the Anejo is the No. 77, also known as the Shark, which is the first of its kind to transform from a rounded Parejo to a square press.
