Back at it again, the General Cigar Company has teamed up with industry legend Abdel Fernández to introduce the Hoyo La Amistad Black line of handmade cigars. Available in a three vitola selection which features an oily dark brown Ecuador Sumatra wrapper, aged long fillers from Nicaragua and a Mexican San Andres binder. Fernandez was challenged with creating a cigar that held true to Hoyo’s rich Cuban heritage while still being able to add his famous modern touch but he clearly succeeded tremendously on both counts with a rewarding and rich medium to full body blend. With complex profiles of baking spices, leather, cayenne pepper, and some hints of naturally sweet tobacco, these two premium cigar industry titans have done it once again and created yet another masterpiece.
