rolled with consistency from one cigar to the next. These
high end cigars cigars are constructed from three main
components - the filler, the binder, and the wrapper.
The tobacco filler is the interior portion of the cigar.
When "long filler" is said to be used, it is
indicative of a filler that was made from full size leaves.
The leaves are hand picked, stored, and are then aged
in full form with great care. Long filler cigars are skillfully
rolled to insure that they burn smoothly and evenly when
smoked. "Short filler" is the second type of
tobacco filler. Short filler is made up of loose leftover
leaf clippings from the long filler production. Long filler
will almost always be found in any high-line premium cigar.
The next portion of the cigar is the binder which consists
of multiple layers of leaves that embody the filler. The
binder forms the filler into a circular shape, so that
the final component of the cigar, the wrapper, can be
applied.
