The Hoyo De Monterrey Certified Vintage 2002 was introduced to rejoice for their factory manager, Estelo Padron’s 75th Birthday. His brother Orlando sued General Cigar due to the confusion created by the name Padron written in microscopic letters on the cigar box. A recall was made to recover all of the boxes already produced and sticker was placed over the name Padron. They ceased box production, but there was an abundance of cigars already made, which ended up hibernating for awhile in Cofradia Honduras. These cigars are made with a unique blend of filler tobaccos from the Dominican Republic, Honduras and Nicaragua featuring an Ecuador Sumatra wrapper resulting in a rich medium-to-full bodied taste for its loyal smokers to enjoy. |
