The Henry Clay Certified Vintage is handcrafted in the Dominican Republic and was a fabulous discovery found within the deep cold rooms of Menendez y Garcia. Although the number thirteen is supposed to be unlucky, in this case it was the complete opposite. We got our hands on the factory’s tasting samples from thirteen previous years all at once. These medium to full bodied Henry Clays have a peppery, Dominican binder and is rough looking with a very spicy Connecticut Broadleaf Dominican wrapper grown in the USA. The taste has mellowed them quite a bit obviously due to the age, but regardless they’re a premium quality cigar hard to surpass and will be very hard to find in the near future. |
